"Hearts beatin’ faster but we’re takin’ it slow / That look you’re givin’ me is worth more than gold"
Beth Nielsen Chapman commented on PuddlesofDoom's lyric:
"love this visual. but notice how you have to pull at the seams of "so-o-lid steal" to fit the melody. There are 4 notes over that word. so try 2 2 syllable words or one 4 syllable word.
2 syllable example:
"Your walls are made of silver plated steel"
4 syllable example:
"Your walls are made of corrugated steel"
sings so much easier to deliver into the melody! As you can see this matters to me!
"corrugated" is a little strange but something that sounds like that would work...I often use place holders like that...

"
"I'm never gonna change your mind / your walls are made of solid steel"
"Hearts beatin’ faster but we’re takin’ it slow / That look you’re givin’ me is worth more than gold"
"Might not be a rich man, but the one thing I know / That look you’re givin’ me’s worth way more than gold"
"You stole my heart / right outta thin air / no one in the world could every compare / to someone so rare"
"Someone so fine / You're my Mona Lisa / My one of a kind"
Marty Dodson commented on PuddlesofDoom's lyric:
"I dig this a lot! Only problem is, we used "shine" in that first verse. I try not to repeat words like that if I can help it. Good stuff here, though!
"
"Someone so rare / Oh, how you shine / You're my Mona Lisa, my one of a kind"
"You're a work of art / how'd I win the heart (of)"
"Who coulda known / I'd ever hold"
