COMEDIC BREAK . . . Hi all! I wrote this earlier today - before I got such a wonderful shout out - about some of the difficulties I've had working on the songs. Enjoy! And, hopefully, laugh a little. // Iambic Rantameter - A Sonnet of Frustration //Oh Brad the Bard, you fill me with despair // For you words seem to come out of thin air // Fine meter and an esoteric wit // With subtlety and humor they all hit // My mongrel words - they never seem to please // Just one more thing I cannot do with ease // But persevere I will until it's done // And it's announced that someone else has won // For writing is what I desire to do // But songs? HELL NO! A crime novel or two // My hope to meet the Bard will not come true // My Crash Test Dummies discs will have to do // Well, Brad, I'll only know you from afar // But I'll listen to you when I'm in my car
