Unite To Face Addiction Anthem
Please join us for a very special collaboration.
Unite To Face Addiction is organizing the first ever March for Recovery on October 4th, 2015 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It is a seminal, historic event that seeks to dispel the shame associated with the disease of addiction and will be known as “The Day The Silence Ends.”
In anticipation of this great event, we need your help! The Hookist and Unite To Face Addiction communities have joined forces to write an anthem to serve as a call to action and a celebration of recovery. Whether you’re a recovered person or a loved one, or you’d like to honor someone lost to the deadly ravages of addiction — or if you just care about your fellow man or woman — we invite you to join us in writing this important song!
Our mission in creating this anthem is to reduce the stigma of addiction, celebrate those in recovery and provide a tangible, joyous, inspiring song that will change hearts & minds to believe that, together, we can overcome the pain, and live in light & love.
Legendary songwriter, Paul Williams & rock all-star, Kasim Sulton will lead the collaboration.
All profits from this collaboration and from the resulting song will support Unite To Face Addiction.
Thank you for joining us! Submit your 1-2 line lyric ideas each day and vote and comment to help us write this historic song!
